Visit Muiderslot
An 8-minute walk away is the impressive Muiderslot, surrounded by water and castle gardens. It is one of the oldest and best-preserved castles in the Netherlands.
Amsterdam
Golden Age canals lined by tilting gabled buildings are the backdrop for Amsterdam's treasure-packed museums, vintage-filled shops, dining and design scenes.
Skipper's and sailors' café Ome Ko
An authentic café widely known as the living room of Muiden. Beautiful are the summer scenes at the "Groote Zeesluis". In the summer, the terrace is the place to be with the perfect view of the lock. Enjoying all the special (funny) scenes with a snack and a drink from early morning until late at night.
Ted's Bistro
You will find Teds Bistro Muiden in the most beautiful street of Muiden. The restaurant is designed to accommodate any occasion. In the morning, you can quietly read a newspaper at the reading table. Enjoy a morning cappuccino in the sun by the water. In the evening, you can enjoy drinks with friends at the bar or have a romantic Tête-à-Teds with your loved one in the cozy restaurant.
À bientôt mes amis!
Bob BakT - Bakery
Fantastic breads and rolls! Whether sweet, neutral, or savory, they are even more delicious than those from well-known sourdough bakeries. Creamy, soft bread of top quality. It's also a delight to watch the baker at work from the shop. They have a few tables where you can enjoy a drink while watching the boats being maneuvered in the lock.
Strand pavilion "De Zeemeeuw"
Strand pavilion "De Zeemeeuw" is located directly on the Muiderberg beach, with a beautiful terrace by the water. The beach pavilion is one of the oldest in the Netherlands. There is a nice playground for children, and the water is shallow, allowing children to walk far into the water.
Muider beach
A small charming beach tucked behind Fort West Battery. You have to know it, otherwise it's almost impossible to find. It's a lovely swimming beach, ideal for families with young children.
